Versailles more

This is a beautiful palace it was the home of Marie Antoinette.  You walk through her rooms and are able to see and enjoy the grandeur of what her life must have been like. Now remember this as later on I will show you where Marie Antoinette landed up! It is a far cry from Versailles!

Sacre Coeur Paris

On the 3rd day we made our way to the Sacre Coeur.  We had spent the day walking around and had planned to only go late in the afternoon. We wanted to see the church at night. What a beautiful site. We made our way to the Moulin Rouge and walked along the Pigalle and finally headed up to the Sacre Coeur.

The Nortre Dame

After our time at the Louvre we walked to the Nortre Dame, it was 3.6km walk. You do not pay to go into the Nortre Dame.  All churches are free. We had a later afternoon snack out side at a small bistro.  It was lovely although it was raining and cold we had a lovely time.

More on the Louvre

I enjoyed our day at the Louvre.  With the use of the maps you can navigate your way around.we had a light lunch at the Louvre. One must wear comfortable shoes you do a lot of walking. When you get on the metro you metro station destination is Palais Royale Louvre,  from there its an easy walk along the Ru de rivoli.  It cost 13 euro entrance fee per person.  Youth and children pay less.

Second day in Paris

On  the second day in Paris we went to the Arch de Triumph and the Louvre.  You need to depend to spend enough time at the Louvre in order to see it all.  We had a list of what we would like to see.

December 2014 Paris France vacation

In December my family and I went on holiday to Paris, France.  It was a vacation that I had been planning for quiet some time. I rented a apartment in the 13th arr. Place d Italian Citidine.  Very comfortable, well situated and close to a metro line.

We arrived on the 16th December 2014. At CDG airport u need to buy a zone 5 train ticket, it cost 16.10Euro.

On our first day we arrived we went for a lovely walk through the streets of Paris. We enjoyed a long walk along the Champs Elyse all the way to Place de la Concorde.

There are beautiful Christmas markets all along the way.
